What to expect
At our 2025 Elite Skate Camp, it's not just about perfecting skating skills – it's a complete experience. From building physical strength and flexibility to enhancing coordination, our camp offers a holistic approach to training that goes beyond the rink. In addition to on-ice lessons, your child will engage in off-ice sessions such as dance, yoga, stretching, and choreography to support their growth as a well-rounded skater. Every aspect of our camp is designed to boost performance, foster creativity, and help your child build lifelong skills.
Daily Camp Activities
-
Jump & Spin Technique
We provide coaching for jumps and spins based on a thoughtful progression of exercises that allows skaters to develop the fundamental skills necessary to sccomplish high level triples & quads and spin combinations.
-
Edge Work & Skating Skills
Understanding edges & how to get power off an edge is at the core of figure skating. We make sure our coaching develops these skills so that each skater develops greater confidence as they progress.
-
Competition & Test Preparation
We believe summer skating camps should enhance competition and test readiness, not leave you headed to a competition realizing you’ve only run your program once in the last week because of the camp schedule. Our individual approach will insure this doesn’t happen to you. We’ve all been there & it isn’t fun :/
-
Choreography
Tailored to each skater’s unique style, our choreography sessions teach skaters how to integrate their technical skills with creative movements. We focus on building fluid, expressive routines that reflect both skill and artistry.
-
Pairs & Ice Dance
Our coaching team has trained with the top coaches in the world in Pairs and Ice Dance, and loves to share that knowledge with the next generations of skaters. Our unique experience with partnering, lifts and more provides your skater with opportunities to develop these skills in a methodical, safe way.
-
Dance
Our dance sessions focus on enhancing skaters’ coordination, rhythm, and artistic expression. These classes help skaters bring their routines to life and develop performance quality that makes their on-ice presence unforgettable.
-
Pole Harness & Vestibular Training
We believe the purpose of the pole harness is to assist the skater in applying the proper technique to their jump, not to be a substitute for learning proper technique. In the same way, vestibular training helps skaters learn spatial awareness and train proprioception in a safe way.
-
Yoga
Yoga is an essential part of our training, helping skaters improve flexibility, strength, and mental focus. Through stretches and controlled movements, skaters learn body awareness and balance to boost their performance on the ice.
-
Stretching
Proper stretching is key to injury prevention and muscle recovery. Our off-ice stretching sessions are designed to help skaters increase their range of motion, strengthen their muscles, and stay injury-free as they advance in the sport.
-
Physical Conditioning
Figure skating requires aerobic and anaerobic training, plyometrics, strength and flexibility, utilized during a program, all while making it look easy. We make sure all aspects of physical conditioning are encompassed by our camp schedule, and while we get the work done, we do our best to make it fun!
